Rated 5 out of 5??by BobKC Excellent product for home use
This snowblower is a great home tool--not too heavy, great throwing distance. Easy to do minimal assembly, no tools needed.

This model moves more snow further than you would expect from an electric model.
The large handle "run" button needs to be pressed extra hard to keep it on... and the pulley tore itself apart for some reason. This was covered under warranty luckily... and was repaired at the local shop with no troubles.
I would recommend this product because of performance and 2 year warranty that works.

My first Toro 18" electric snow blower quit after 3 1/2 years. I'm giving Toro one more shot as I bought the same one again earlier this month.

First winter in Maine..this Toro 1800 came recommended. Having never used a snowblower, I wasn't sure what to expect. I have a pretty large area to clear, two 80- 100 ft driveways, a brick patio and a large deck in back. The snow was almost to my waist and I was skeptical if it could handle the amount, but this machine was truly AMAZING. This machine is POWERFUL.. It fights through the deepest snow without a hiccup. I couldn't believe the amounts of snow I was removing and the ease at which this machine did it. Some drifts were 5 ft high and I'd use the Toro to take them down in stages. Worked great The only thing I didn't like was having to fight and swing and move the extension cord continuously so I wouldn't run it over.
I felt like Tom Jones in concert handling the microphone cord.
Aside from that annoying task, this snowblower is worth every penny and if you are thinning of getting an electric snow blower , look no further.

Rated 5 out of 5??by Pat1217 Light weight, easy to handle
I really like the Toro. I had problems with it starting at first when wasn't using the right gauge electrical cord. After I bought the recommended gauge, it now runs great. I was not happy with the response to a question I asked of Toro on their website. I purchased the last Toro that Home Depot had and one of the knobs was so hard to turn that I couldn't use the fold away feature. I explained my problem to Toro and as a response, all I got was a robo-email that had nothing to do with my question. I responded to the robo-email and finally I received a real person who took care of my problem. Other than that situation, I like the ease of using this. For me, a heavy gas snow blower would be too much for me to handle. I was able to clear about 5 inches of snow with no problem. Wet snow will clog up the throw chute but it's easily fixed by pushing out the snow. Constantly moving the electrical cord can be time consuming but I expected it. Overall I'm very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5??by disabledlady I love my TORO 1800 because ...
I am a disabled senior with disability issues living in what has been declared to be the 'Snowiest city (over 100,000) in the US for 2015. We had one storm where 3 feet fell, followed by storm after storm with no melting - now totaling over 8 feet in 3 wks. This simple, lightweight machine has been working wonders tackling this amazing amount of snow. I have a double wide driveway and a very large deck to clear. It throws well and changes throwing direction or lift with ease. It is easy to maneuver. It is not designed to handle this much snow, but with a bit of cleverness, it has served me extremely well. I could not be more pleased.

Rated 1 out of 5??by Nanc I loved using the electric toro snow blower. it was perfect for my driveway and deck. Unforunetly I only used it once. the motor just quit. I
The blower worked great and it was easy to use. Unfortunately it only work for one snow fall and just quit. I would have exchanged it for a new one but there were none available. So today I shoveled!

i live in central Virginia. so we don't get a lot of snow here. I purchased this unit 4 years ago and have used it three time with no problems. this year I started using it and it just cut off about half way through my driveway. I have used toro products for over 30 years. I know it is warranty is fro only 2 years but a 300 dollar unit you use for only three times before it breaks down is unacceptable. this unit probable has less than 10 hrs running time total on it.
