Purchased unit was only used 6 or 7 times and the motor burned out...
Then had to take the unit to a dealer for replacement.
Replacement unit was received quickly.

I love the power shovel. I am 73 years old and it is not so heavy that I can't use it. I have had it go through foot high or more drifts. The only drawback is that the snow comes out the front instead of the side.

Rated 5 out of 5??by Lila For driveways and walkways: beats a person powered shovel!!!!
cleared a 2 car + wide driveway and deck and walkways of 3 or 4 inches of snow in about an hour and NO back strain. Appreciate the adjustable assist handle and shovel height 'cause one size does not fit all!!!

1st one quit working after about 3 or 4 uses. Reordered new one so will see how long it works. It is a handy tool if it keeps working!

Rated 1 out of 5??by Gpa1 Broke down after 2 months (6-8 uses)
This is my second Toro electric snow shovel. The first was a wonderful little unit with small wheels. Can't remember the model but it seems to be discontinued.
I have a Toro snow blower so I used the electric shovel only to remove snow from my front porch and around 2 doorways. Perhaps 30 minutes of use each time. The power of this unit is very acceptable. I have 3 issues with the product. Obviously, issue #1 is that it stopped working and is in for service. The #2 issue is that the angle at which the snow leaves the unit is very steep. If you are using it in windy conditions you wind up wearing the snow you are removing. Issue #3 because there are no wheels the leading edge tends to catch on any raised ice, edges of porch decking, etc.
There is a photo on the webpage showing snow being blown from a deck. Notice the angle of the snow and imagine the wind blowing into the person.

Rated 5 out of 5??by trucker what a surprise !
what a surprise! my wife bought me this power shovel . I thought it was a foolish idea until i used it. I have a bad back and used to think snow removal had to be a back breaking chore, well not any more. love this shovel. would like to highly recommend you try one , my mind was changed the first minute.

Easily handles <6" of powdery snow, which is blown straight up about 10' & out at about 10 degrees away from the user's body. Lack of adjustable shutter makes it difficult to maneuver close to vehicles, etc, especially in narrow areas, such as high, shrub-bordered, paths. Wet/compacted snow is very difficult to move, so I don't bother, anymore. Impressive power & relative quiet. I also like that maintenance is very simple: practically cleans itself & no oiling required. It isn't perfect, but, I like it & recommend it.
