The Groundsmaster® 580-D is ergonomically designed for comfort and easy operation. The deluxe seat and the patented steering column adjusts to let you customize your work environment and reduce fatigue. Plenty of space at the operator's station paired with easy-to-read controls also increases comfort. The 580-D uses multiple disc brakes, just like the ones on your car or truck, for reliable high-performance braking. Also, the foot controls are very similar to automotive controls - with gas and brake pedals in proximity - making it much more user friendly to operators. |

The Groundsmaster® 580-D has proven itself to be a rugged, durable performer since its introduction in 1989. Heavy duty welded steel decks and frames provide extra durability and long life. The traction unit uses variable axial two-speed piston motors to drive planetary gear final drives. The planetary system gears down the load on the wheel motors resulting in lower pressures, lower temperatures, higher efficiency and longer life. |

The engine, transmission, and cooling system can be easily reached by snapping off a few panels and removing shrouds. The deck spindles can be greased without having to remove deck covers. Quickly access the deck belt areas and belt spindles by removing the easy-off covers. Also, the Triflex cutting unit flips up for convenient servicing. The 580-D comes standard with Automated Control ElectronicsTM, an electronic diagnostics system increases reliability, functionality, and serviceability. The hand-held diagnostic tool aids service technicians in pinpointing problems. Rather than guessing the location of trouble spots, or spending unproductive time searching for problems, this tool allows the service technician to easily determine causes. |
