Eligibility and General Terms: The "Name It & Claim It" contest is open to all residents of the U.S., 18 years of age or older. Employees of The Toro Company (hereafter referred to as Toro), Toro distributors, Toro dealers, and their families are eligible to participate in the naming contest but are not eligible to win the grand prize (see "Grand Prize" paragraph below). Void where prohibited by law. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
How to Enter: The naming contest begins May 12, 2008 and ends at midnight CST on June 15, 2008. On-line entries must be submitted by midnight June 15, 2008. To enter, click on the "Name It & Claim It" link within the Web site and submit your suggested name(s). Mail-in entry forms also are available upon request by calling Toro at 800-348-2424, ext. 8038. Mail-in entries postmarked no later than June 15, 2008 will be accepted and should be sent to: The Toro Company, LCB Marketing Department, 8111 Lyndale Ave. So., Bloomington, MN 55420. Entries should be labeled "Name It & Claim It Contest." There is no limit on the number of entries that can be submitted by an individual; however, only professional landscape contractors are eligible to win the Toro® mower (see "Grand Prize" below). Entrants are required to affirm their eligibility status on the contest entry form. Toro will not be held responsible for incomplete, incorrect, or late entries. In the event the winning name (including all spelling variations) is submitted by more than one individual, the time-stamp or postmark on each entry will be used to determine the owner of the first submission, who will be awarded the appropriate prize. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules.

Grand Prize: A panel of Toro marketing representatives (located at the company’s Bloomington, MN headquarters) will judge all submissions and select ONE winning name from the "Name It & Claim It" contest. Judging criteria will include: creativity, suitability for the product, and compatibility with the Toro brand. If the winning name is submitted by a landscape professional, the winner will receive (1) Toro® stand-on mower (retail value up to $8000). In the event the winning entry is submitted by anyone other than a landscape professional (including Toro employees, Toro distributors, Toro dealers, and their families), the winner will be awarded a consolation prize consisting of a Toro-branded jacket. In such an event, a runner-up entry submitted by a landscape contractor will be selected by Toro to determine the winner of the grand prize (mower). Selection of a winning name does not obligate/commit Toro to use the name on the stand-on mower. Toro reserves the right to reject all name submissions. Contest entrants, by entering the contest, release Toro of all liability with respect to winning, not winning or using the prizes. No winner prize substitutions or transfers will be allowed.
Odds of Winning: Dependent on the number of qualifying entries received.
Winner Notification: "Name It & Claim It" prize winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received during name submission period. Personal data collected during the contest will be used only for winner notification; data will not be used for future marketing efforts of any kind. The prospective winner will be contacted on or about Aug. 15, 2008. The mower will be presented to the winner during the Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE+Expo) trade fair, Oct. 23-25, 2008, in Louisville, KY. The winner will be required to complete and sign an affidavit of eligibility. By accepting the prize, the winner consents, where allowable, to promotional use of his/her name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation -- and releases Toro, its distributors, and its dealers from liability resulting from the use of the prize.
Winner Information: The winner/winning entry will be announced on the Toro web site (www.toro.com/nameit) Aug. 18, 2008. The winning entry also can be obtained by sending an email to LCEProducts@toro.com, or by writing The Toro Company, LCB Marketing Department, 8111 Lyndale Ave. So., Bloomington, MN 55420. All requests must be received by Aug. 29, 2008.
Miscellaneous: The contest may be revoked or canceled if contest materials contain errors. Toro is not liable for technical or computer malfunctions related to name entries submitted by contestants. The company reserves the right to terminate the contest for technical reasons such as a computer virus. Toro's decisions regarding all issues related to the contest will be final. All taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winners. Submitted entries become the property of The Toro Company.
