22802-High Torque Auger Power Head

In any drive head, there is a tradeoff between torque (power) and speed (revolutions per minute). The high torque head provides a large amount of torque (power) to the auger at a slower speed. The high torque (power) translates into the Dingo's capability to dig 30" holes up to 5' deep in clay, gravel, sandstone and many other conditions where lower torque heads get stuck.

One Person Bit Change

One Person Bit Change

Any of the Toro Augers can be changed on the head with only one person! The 2 9/16" diameter shaft allows easy fitting of the head to the auger. Most other competitors require two people to change an auger.

Single Directional Pivot

Single Directional Pivot

Front to back directional pivot provides the operator with exceptional control when digging with large augers. The single directional pivot prevents the auger from kicking left to right and reduces flailing.

Horizontal Lockout

Horizontal Lockout

The head locks in the horizontal position for usage with the Toro Cement Bowl, Capstand Adapter and more.

Planetary Gear Drive

Planetary Gear Drive

The planetary gear drive provides maximum torque at a consistent level. The planetary gear drive also insures the longevity of the power head by transmitting less stress to the hydraulic motor.

6" 9" 12" 15" 18" 24" 30" Augers

6" 9" 12" 15" 18" 24" 30" Augers

Toro Augers are designed for years and years of service. From the penetration tip of the bit to the connection design on the shaft, Toro augers are engineered for durability. High carbon teeth penetrate the soil and protect the flighting. The teeth are easily replaceable when they become worn. The flighting on all Toro augers is connected to the shaft by a continuous weld. Most other auger flightings are tack welded at 2 or 3 spots on the shaft. High stress can cause the tack welds to crack and break, Toro augers will not break as easily. The Toro flighting is composed of 3/8" thick continuous steel where many other augers are 1/8" thick or less. The shaft of the auger firmly connects to the power head reducing "play" in the system and creating a longer lasting auger. This connection provides less "shock" to the power head, lengthening the life of the head and its components.

Cement Bowl

Cement Bowl

Haul, mix, and pour up to 200 lbs (dry) cement. Eliminates hand mixing!

12" & 24" Auger Extension

12" & 24" Auger Extension

Made from the same high strength material as the auger shaft, the extension can be added to increase the depth of the hole.

9" Rock Auger

9" Rock Auger

Used for extreme digging conditions, such as rock and coral. Replaceable carbide teeth.
