CPSC, The Toro Company Announce Recall of Power Sweep Electric Blowers™

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), The Toro Company, Bloomington, Minn., is voluntarily recalling certain model and year 2000, 2001, and 2002 Power Sweep Electric Blowers™.

The model and serial number are located on a sticker on the left hand side of the blower housing.


Only units with a BLACK impeller/fan within these serial number ranges are affected.
If your unit has a BEIGE impeller/fan, it is OK.

Problem:
The impeller (fan for moving the air) in certain 2000-2002 Toro Power Sweep Electric Blowers may break and pieces may be ejected, presenting a risk of thrown object injury to the operator or bystanders. Only units listed above with a black impeller/fan are affected. Any units with an impeller/fan that is not black are not affected by the recall.

What to do:
