It’s time for Fall cleanup! Here are a few tips to keep in mind when blowing or vacuuming leaves:
- Fall cleanup is a fun time to involve kids in yard work, but please do not allow children to operate a blower/vac.
- Don’t mix and match; use only the recommended inlet cover, vac tube, and bag.
- Stay on guard; keep the inlet cover or vac tube in place while blowing or shredding leaves.
- Check your air inlet cover before starting Fall cleanup and replace it if broken or damaged.
- Unplugged; remember to unplug the unit when not in use and before clearing clogs.
- Tame your mane; keep hair tied back and away from the openings and moving parts.
- The same goes for loose clothes, jewelry, and fingers; keep them away from moving parts.
- Silence is golden; when changing from blower to vac mode or clearing clogs, turn off and unplug the unit; also wait for the impeller to stop spinning.
- Keep an eye out; be aware of your surroundings; and watch for children and pets in the path of blown debris.
- Don’t use a damaged cord; check your extension cord when you get it out for the Fall.
