The Toro SMRT Logic offers cloud-based landscape control anytime, from anywhere. Through the SMRTscape™ app or website, users are able to remotely control and manage their irrigation system, outdoor lighting, or other key features of their landscape. Simply plug the SMRT Logic into a router and let it connect on its own to the internet. No Wi-Fi passwords or network permissions needed. When the LED indicator turns solid green, the gateway is connected.

Unlike most competing internet-enabled controllers that use the Wi-Fi network to communicate back to the router/modem, the SMRT Logic communicates to the controller through a proprietary 900 MHz radio signal. Communicating via radio signal, coupled with industry standard encryption, delivers a secure communication path and nearly three times the communication distance of a typical Wi-Fi router.
