Anti-Scalp Cup (Part # 125-8440)
This genuine Toro OEM anti-scalp cup is designed for Toro walk-behind power mowers and prevents the deck from making direct contact with the ground when passing over raised spots, bumps, or when turning. The anti-scalp cup contacts the ground first, lifting the deck slightly and preventing the blade from cutting too deep or stripping turf. It is a wear item that can crack or break over time, particularly on rough or stony ground. Replacing a damaged anti-scalp cup prevents lawn damage and protects the mower deck from impact damage.
